The obvious benefits to any regular maintenance service is that it can help to prolong the life of your vehicle. By rust proofing annually (once a year) you can prolong the life of your vehicle’s body.

Rust proofing involves spraying a rust proofing agent (oil) into the body panels of the vehicle, which then coats and bonds to the metal pieces to displace water from contacting those pieces. This can help deter rust.

Do you get your car rust proofed annually?  Leave us a comment below about your experiences!

How do they do this? Amanda found out:

Step #1: Salt Eliminator is applied to the vehicle to loosen the bonds of the salt to the metal components.

Step #2: The technicians rinse the salt eliminator agent with water to remove the salt.

Step #3: To prep the vehicle for application, the technicians drill small 3/8″ holes in the door panels so they are able to insert and spray the rust proofing agent in those panels.

Step #4: The technicians spray the agent in the appropriate places.

Step #5: Any holes that were made during prep are filled with grease and secured with a plastic plug.

The product starts to work right away; it creeps through the panels and can even defy gravity moving up to 6 inches in all directions. It starts working right away, and it is recommended you do this service annual to help prolong the life of your vehicle’s body.

The spreading and distribution of the rust-proofing agent is maximized with warmer weather. As a best practice it is best to rust proof in the spring, after a salt-heavy winter. However, some prefer to do it before and after winter as an extra precaution against the salt, especially living through Canadian Winters.

Simone Performance currently has $15 Off Coupons available at our Front Desk. Come inside to get yours today!

Simone Performance Announcement

April 25, 2022

After serving our community's automotive repair and performance needs for the past 18 years, with the last few stressful years during COVID, the time has come for us to move on to new adventures and to have a little more time to
relax and enjoy ourselves.

Vic and Christine are excited to announce that Simone Performance will be under new ownership as of May 1, 2022.

We want to thank our dedicated and talented staff who have been a very big part of our success, particularly Ryan Fray, our manager, for being that knowledgeable, friendly face customers see when they walked in.

Going forward, a familiar face will be your go-to guy at Simone Performance. Please welcome Brandon McCombe (our shop foreman) as the new owner, who – along with our great staff – will continue to provide the same excellent service that Simone Performance has become known for.

To help Brandon get established and on his way, Vic and Christine will be available in a limited capacity during the transition over the next few months. We cannot express our gratitude and appreciation enough for your business and to the Towns of Newmarket and Aurora – it has been a privilege to have been your trusted automotive shop for all these years.

THANK YOU!

Vic & Christine Simone
