3rd/4th Year Apprentice
3rd/4th Year Apprentice – Full-Time
Position Overview
A Full-Time Automotive 3rd/4th Year Apprentice to work at an established and well respected automotive garage in Newmarket, ON. We are Nissan/Infiniti specialists but work on all makes/models. We do all general and scheduled maintenance/repairs and specialize in quality performance upgrades.
This technician will be responsible for technical diagnosis and repair of customer vehicles, management and ongoing training of apprentices and must possess excellent customer service skills.
Essential Job Functions for 3rd/4th Year Apprentice
- Repairing customer vehicles as required
- Performance Upgrades/Enhancements work
- Providing general customer service as required
- Adhere to Company policies and procedures
- Eagerness to learn and attention to detail
- Some diagnostic skills
- Overtime may be required (pay will follow Ontario Gov. overtime guidelines)
Non-essential Job Functions
- Ensuring facility is clean
- Ensuring equipment and tools are in good repair and safe to use
- Minor general maintenance of shop
Requirements
- Maintain College of Trades Membership
- Attend upgrade/training courses throughout the year
- Good understanding of Mitchell automotive software and ProDemand (can train if necessary)
- Proficient in safety standards and hazardous material handling
- Excellent customer service skills, oral and written communication
- Valid “G” Class Driver’s License with clean abstract
- Criminal Record Check
- Team player in fast-paced environment
Other Skills/Abilities
- General knowledge of products used/sold at shop
- Passion for the industry, with a focus on performance upgrades

- Creating estimates for repair work and performance upgrades/enhancements
- Repairing customer vehicles as required
- Performance Upgrades/Enhancements work
